Belize, the smallest country in Latin America, had an economy heavily reliant on the tourism sector, which accounted for about 40% of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP). However, with the outbreak of the pandemic, this sector experienced a drastic decline, leading to a significant increase in poverty and unemployment. To help address this crisis, in the first quarter of 2023, Simple Nutri contributed by providing 20,000 meals to the affected population.
